This is the current American flag.  It is used as a symbol of freedom and patriotism.It was made by Bob G. Heft. 
These days, flags are produced from nylon, polyester, or cotton. Historically, flags were made from hemp, silk, wool, and linen.
 I chose this because I’m an American and my ancestors fought in the American revolution. Also my ancestors came here on the Mayflower. I wonder why my ancestors made it so the flag is always growing and changing. These are a bunch of American flags over the years.
