My mom was born in Jamaica. She came to America when she was a little girl. My mother took a plane here. She came to America for more opportunities. She did not come alone. She came with her grandmother. My mom says that she was able to do a lot of things that she couldn’t do in her country. My mother’s object that is special to her is her country’s flag.
The flag is important to her because it reminds her about her country.The colors of the flag is black,green, and yellow. The flag represents the people of the country. It is also the culture and language that is also represented by the flag. It is important to my mom because it is the only object that she has from her country left. When she became successful in life. She always look back at her flag and never forgot where she came from.
