These ornaments and vase were my great grandmothers, she brought them to the United States with her from Ireland. When my great grandparents immigrated they didn't bring much from home with them so being able to have these is exciting. My family has them displayed in my house and we put the ornaments on the tree for Christmas. I never got to meet my great grandparents, so having something from them that they had when they came to the United States is really special. These decorations are important to me and my family and I hope to be able to take one with me when I get my own house to remind me of my family and what my great grandparents sacrificed to come to the United States.
