When I was  13 or 14 years old I started thinking about working in the fields and my parents would tell me that I should stay in school because working in the fields is not the way to go at all.  For a while I thought about what they said and listened to what they said because as I grew older I would ask other relatives questions and they would all say the same thing as my parents.  Which was to stay in school and get my education because they want me to do better than they did and not have to struggle like they did.  They told me they would have to work the butts off in the very hot field for sometimes 10 to 12 hours a day and they hated every single second of it but they said if it wasn't for their perseverance and hard work they wouldn't be where they are today.
