My mother was 15 years old when she came to the United States for the first time. Since my grandparents brought her and her six siblings here at a very young age, they would go to Mexico pretty often and only come back for school. She enjoyed being in Mexico more than being here because she would spend a lot of time with her grandparents. One of her favorite childhood memories was from before she moved here. She had taken a picture of her grandfather and in that moment he threw water at her which resulted in her camera breaking. Its her favorite memory because she had never seen him laugh so much in her life.   My family's tradition is for all of us to go to Mexico every year in August. All of my cousins, aunts, uncles, my grandparents, as well as my parents. We always go in August because that's when there are “Fiestas” in our town in Mexico. It's a total of nine days and it's something that all of us get to enjoy. During the day we spend time at my grandpa's farm and they all tell stories from when they were younger, and it's very interesting to listen about what they were doing when they were my age because it's completely different.
