This has been in kitchens for generations now, it looks like some special plate that you eat with but it's not. It's been passed down on the welsh side of the family for years and years. Well actually, it does have "plate" in its name but not like that. It's called a family coat of arms plate and we have had it for generations. It came over from Wales in the later half of the 19th century (late 1800's). It was my great, great grandmothers, then Great Grand Mother Lily Hughes, then my grandfather, to my dad. (A short fact we have is to never name our kids Owen. Apparently both great uncles died the same way horribly and were both names Owen.). Basally this represents the welsh side of the family, as I said before.
