My parents came to the United States from Mexico at a young age. Here they had four children including myself, they built their life here. Both of my parents have stable jobs and my dad even owns his own business, they have a home and family here. I have watched my parents become the best grandparents to three amazing, beautiful, kind children. We as a family will visit Mexico here and there but for reasons beyond her control my mother is unable to go back. All my mother has now are the memories of what life was like back then. She has that and these photo albums which hold cherished pictures of my parents old life in Mexico, their friends, and some family they left behind. We have had these old pictures for years, and every once in a while as many families do we will look through them and reminisce. New stories about a specific picture always seem to come up. I am so thankful these photo albums are still around not only for me but for my nieces and nephew, and maybe for my children one day too.
