Hunt Family History

Laura Courter is my great-grandmother on my mom’s side of the family. I now get to see my great-grandma a lot more since she moved closer to my family. When people talk to my great-grandma, they will immediately find out that she loves to tell stories. I learned this myself from a very young age, and even more so now that I am much older. In this book, you will find many different stories about her family and their origins. This book was given to my great-grandma's mother at a family reunion in 1961 and when she got older, it was passed down to her, and now to me. My great-grandma's mother's maiden name was Hunt. The Hunts have lived in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and Colorado. Many of these books, including this one, were made by members of the Hunt family to be passed out at family reunions. These books date all the way back to 1891. With this history book, I was able to learn about a part of my family tree and where my ancestors came from. The history of who was married and what children they had, how they died, and where they lived is also described through the stories in the book. I enjoyed reading the stories because I learned about how my ancestors lived for the last 124 years. Although over 100 years have passed and none of those people are alive anymore, their history can live on through the words left and future generations.
