being on the boat at young age

The first time I was on our boat was when we lived in Seattle. We went to a pizza restaurant 20 minutes away that was on the water. Every time I went on the boat I would always ask to drive. The feeling of pulling the throttle down was one of the most satisfying things to me. Another thing I really enjoyed doing was doing sharp turns back and forth, and of course, hitting the ferry boat waves. Driving the boat is and was one of my favorite things to do. Even when we've just gotten off the boat, I always get excited to go again. When I got older, I also got more responsibility and get to drive the boat and fish with my brother. The boat is one of the most important things in my life. It has been the only thing that we haven't sold or given away since I was born. The boat is always something my family looks forward to using. We use it for fishing and sunset cruises, and we take it to a place called Blakely Island to get food and ice cream. We get to use our boat for only 2 weeks out of the year, but it makes it more special and exciting when we do get to use it. This boat has taught me to be relaxed and it has connected me more with my family and with the ocean. It also taught me to be responsible because they were a lot of rules to follow to be really safe. It made my parents have a lot more trust in me.
