The object I picked was a family album which represents who i am because it has all memories from my home country, Ghana. The album shows how my family did things back home and traditions they had. Back in Ghana, my family weren’t the richest so they tried their best to live a good life. Before my siblings and I were born my parents' families were very poor. My fathers parents and eldest sister died from a house fire when he was around my age or older, so their family album was burned inside. My mother had the family album we keep today even before she met my father so it’s pretty old. Once my siblings were born, my parents started to use the album for memories until my mom left them to go to the states with me in her belly. Later when I was born they came too and we all lived together in Brooklyn. 
We lived there for a while until we moved to the Bronx. But, we still used the album. Pictures of old friends and family that passed but the album helps them be remembered. I feel like this means a lot to my family because the album holds a lot of pain, love, and memories from long ago. My family has been through a lot but they never gave up and when my parents showed me the album it gave me strength to do whatever I put my heart into.
