The evil eye charm is used in my culture to ward of the evil eyes or glares of other people. When my parents were traveling from Turkey to America, it was always something they carried with them whether it was on a piece of jewelry or on a charm in their bags. It can also be used as a form of protection against those that are not up to any good and have bad intentions.
