My grandma wore this elephant ring every single day since her and my grandpa went on their very first date when he gave it to her. As a kid I’ve always loved the ring and that’s where my obsession with elephants came from. I would always ask my grandma for the ring but for obvious reasons she wouldn’t. When I was 13 years old my grandpa had passed, and they had been already divorced since before I was born, but she always wore it even though their marriage wasn’t the best and didn’t end well, she kept it through everything. Once my grandpa died, she had pass down the ring to me and explained the significance. My grandpa’s dad gave this ring to my great grandma when they first met so it had just become like a family Aire loom, and it was given to my grandma then now to me. The reason my grandma still wore it, and had it was to teach me the value the little things that matter the most, and to her this ring mattered the absolute most. I can proudly say I’ve taken care of it and have worn it since the day it was passed down to me.
