Eid Adha Mubarak

In the Muslim culture we celebrate holidays call Eid. We gather and eat, have fun together and nobody gets left out. And where we don’t bring our personal problems with us or if you have problems with someone you stop them. There are two of them. One is Eid Al Fitr and the other one is Eid Al Adaha. They are both family gatherings where you and your family members meet and do some fun things together. My family usually get to pray the holiday prayer at 7 a.m. Then after we go to every family member’s house we stay for five minutes in each one, we eat, and the men give out money to the women and kids.

Then after we go to every family member’s house we go to restaurants, parks, theme parks, etc. Also, during Eid Al Adaha we must sacrifice a goat. Ten days before Eid Al Adaha men cannot shave, cut their nails, and can’t get a haircut. In both Eid’s, people need to shower, wear new clothes, put on cologne and eat three dates before going to the Eid prayer and pray. Eid is a holy holiday for Muslims, reminding us to be good people and practice the seven pillars of Islam.
