I chose egg drop soup for my story. I chose this because the soup is well-known in Chinese cuisine. My parents (mom and dad) both immigrated from China during the 1990s, and they both made egg drop soup. It brings back happy memories of our family celebrating important holidays and having a good time. Every time I have egg drop soup, I am reminded of my heritage and my values in life, traditional and modern.
