Tang Yuan

Group:

My object is tang yuan, a dessert from China. It’s made from rice flour mixed with water to make balls. Tang yuan can be filled or unfilled. Tang yuan is meaningful in Chinese culture. The round shape of the balls represents family, union and the possibility of surmounting obstacles. I remember The Lantern Festival a long time ago when my mother cooked tang yuan for me for the first time. I found tang yuan to be delicious. It has a nice snow white color. On the outside is rice and inside is a sweet bean paste. I still love to eat tang yuan, and I can buy it from the supermarket. For me, tang yuan represents my Chinese culture.
