My brother and I dying Easter eggs.

Every Easter when I was young, my mother let us dye eggs.
Sometimes we boiled them first, sometimes we made a pin hole and blew out the raw egg before we colored them. Then they were extremely delicate but they lasted longer. We also used wax to create batik patterns before we put them in the vinegar dye, or between colors so we create multiple colored eggs. Then we would display them or hide them or give them away. This was an old tradition in our family, so old I don't know where is came from.
