Dream Catcher
In this photo is a picture of an object called a Dream catcher. A lot of people own these but in my religion we believe these help catch bad dreams. This comes from the native indigenous people. My great grandmother always told me that is it important to have these in your house because they are helpful. As long as I could remember my great grandmother would always make sure I have one above my bed. Dream catchers come in different colors, shapes, and sizes. To create dream catchers is a very hardworking process that takes a lot of time because of the beading and string work. Dream catchers also can have a different variety of beads and feathers attached for many different reasons. In the Omaha tribe as a native the feathers hold a lot of different meanings to us because of the past stories we were told. This is why dream catchers hold so much meaning and importance to me and my family.
