This flag is very important to me,because it represents my personality and who I’m in life. My family is from there,and half of them live there. When I was born my mom took me to meet  my family, that live in the DR.took photo of me  when they were holding has a baby.When i grow up like the age of 4 or 5 year old i was looking though a album of our family memories,then i saw a photo of me with a Dominican flag bandanna on my head. At that time I thought we just go to the DR just to travel, I asked my mom why I am wearing a Dominican bandanna.she said “Oh you are from there,me and your dad were born there. So you are Dominican even if you were born here.”I didn't think it was going to mean so much to me. Independence Day which is on Feb 27th. My family were going to party to celebrate the Independence of our country. I put on a beautiful dress with blue,red and white so pretty. The party was full of red, blue and white. I remember taking a big family picture and me and my cousins holding a Dominican flag. Since the party started at 6:30 PM - 10:30 PM, it was 8 o’clock,so me and a couple of my cousins went outside to look around, then one of my cousins we are  going to call her Bri, she said “ let’s go on the other side of the town.”  we were hearing music on the other side. When we got to the other side, we saw red lights. Going up to the sky since it was dark out,we can see the lights clearly from far away. There were girls in white red and blue skirts dancing to drums and to Spanish music.It was like a parade in one little town then my cousin and I joined the parade
