My dad was born in Taipei Taiwan while his dad was deported in the military. My grandad was a migrant since he was in the military. After shortly having my dad, he went back to Woodbridge Virginia where he settled and raised my dad for a little. From 1977-1979 he was sent to Alice Springs Australia. At the time my dad had no idea what his dad was there for all he knew was that it was important. After only spending two years there he was sent to Berlin Germany were he lived and worked from 1979-1981. Although my dad dose not remember much of it because he was a kid, the one thing he remembers is how hard it was to keep moving and switching schools. After Berlin they came back to Virginia and settled again in Woodbridge where he and my grandma raised my dad. Although my dad traveled a ton when he was young for his dad's job, he never really knew what his job was until he had sadly passed away. My dad ended up learning about his full journey and was able to understand and learn about what his dad really did.
