Deck of Cards
For my "your story, our story" project I chose a deck of cards because we play cards in my family. Cards represents something that has been passed down for generations for years, not an actual deck of cards itself but the games that you can play within them. Both sides of my family plays cards which is cool too. I started playing cards when I was around four or five when my mom taught me my first card game, it was called "Rummy". After that I just let my parents teach me card games from then on out because it was something I enjoyed doing on a daily basis. My grandparents have taught me other card games too! Such as Crib, Knock out wist, 31's, and many more. Once I got into card games I played with my brother more often because he was already knowledgeable about these games. It was a very good bonding experience for him and I and we got super close. We eventually picked up this cool game called "Palace" that our friend taught us about, we still play it to this day. Playing card games has impacted my life because I've been exposed to it my whole life. I recommend playing card games because they are fun, and slightly educational in some ways. It's a staple in my house hold and a I oddly can't imagine my life without it.
