crucifix
This crucifix represents my family's faith in trying to find more opportunities in the United States. Originally my grandmother wore this crucifix and when she arrived to the United States she gifted it to my mother and recently my mother gifted it to me. My family came from Michoacán in the early 80's to provide a better life in the United States and that crucifix gave them hope and helped them keep their faith. This crucifix was there for my family when they were coming to the United States and it was a symbol of protection for my family and it showed that they were protected on their way to the United States.
