This object has been with my family for at least nine years now(2010-2019). It was given to my sister while preparing for her first communion, the sisters (nuns) were the people that gave it to her. My mother had always believed in God, her father would talk to her about God and my mother told me “ but most of my childhood was being alone with my siblings your grandfather was in jail and your grandmother had died it was hard but I had always known God was with me.”  And at the age of 33, she had decided to move to America to be with my aunt and my cousins, and that’s where the crucifix comes in, my mother had made us study for our communion and our confirmation because for her it’s important, to her it shows how much she believes in God and how she believed since she was a child and her faith keeps growing still.
