Original Colombian Coffee

An important part of my cultural background is its coffee. For Colombians, coffee brings them together in family gatherings, reunions, and hangouts. This is important to my family because when we go to visit we always bond over a small cup of this coffee. Since I was little I would visit family and me and my grandma loved to make it and serve some for all of our huge family, also including arepas or empanadas which was other popular foods in Colombia. There's been so many interesting stories told about our lives, drama, and moments over this drink which leaves the smell of this coffee with so many memories. Even though it may sound like a regular drink here, Colombia is known globally for its production of this coffee for its rich flavor and pureness. My parents carried this tradition from Colombia when they moved to the US and made sure me and my siblings got to experience these moments that i'm forever grateful for. I like to drink this coffee because it reminds me of my background and where my blood is from. Anyone can find this in Colombian or Latino markets around Orlando, or even Colombian restaurants!
