My artifact is the clarinet I use for band. My clarinet first came into my family's possession 3 years ago, when my brother, Ethan, was in sixth grade. Ethan was in band class just like me, and in his class everyone was picking their instrument. When it was Ethan's turn, he chose the clarinet, but also he chose this clarinet in particular due to its origin. The clarinet was created in a factory all the way down in South East Asia, in a country called Indonesia. My mom was born in Indonesia, and lived her childhood there, until eventually moving to America for college. But because of this, my brother and I are partly Indonesian and thought it would be cool to have an instrument that represents that, even if not by much.
