Every time Christmas comes around, my mom hosts a big dinner. I come from a kinda big family with three older sisters, one little brother, and now adding in my two nephews. During Christmas time, my mom always gathers everyone at her house and makes dinner. The dinner includes baked macaroni, yams, collard greens, fried chicken, and cornbread. We also do a gingerbread house competition and the teams used to be the two oldest girls vs the two youngest girls because my little brother was too young to participate. Now, since my three older sisters are all grown up and out the house, it is now them three vs me and my little brother. This takes place while we wait for dinner to be ready. We have a rule that we don't open presents until everyone is there. One time, we didn't open presents until six in the afternoon because my older sister got stuck in traffic. Christmas is something I look forward to every year.
