Christmas Crackers
The Christmas crackers is an object that is used by my family every year during Christmas dinner. The Christmas cracker is used for fun every Christmas. The Christmas cracker was originated in 1845-1850 and almost everyone in the United Kingdom that celebrates Christmas celebrates Christmas dinner with Christmas crackers. The way that it is used is by having two people pull one side each from the two sides and then there is a loud pop followed by a piece of paper with a joke on it, a colored paper crown, and a surprise item. The Christmas cracker tradition started in the U.K. My mom's side of the family is from England and they use Christmas crackers every year during Christmas dinner. The main reason why Christmas crackers are a main part of Christmas is because it brings joy to the whole family, hearing the pop and putting the crowns on completes the Christmas dinner. This object is important to me because my family and I always get excited to see what we are all going to get.
