When I was little, my mom gave me a choice - do you want to learn piano or art? Although I was only four years old, I knew that my family could neither afford to buy a piano or pay for art lessons. However, I chose piano, because I had always loved music. When my aunt heard that I was going to learn piano, she sent me this book of Chopin pieces from Korea. She had learned piano with the same book, and wanted me to learn piano well so that I would also be able to play the pieces inside the collection. To me, this score is not just a common collection of Chopin's best works - it is a reminder that my family in Korea support everything that I do and will always be there to offer me advice and help whenever I need it.
