The video I watched was by Pablo Cartaya and the object he talked about was a pencil pouch. 
One object that is significant to my family and culture is a chess board that has been passed down from my great-grandfather. My great-grandfather died in Mexico right before I was born, so I never got to meet him in person. I am inspired by him because he became a successful painter even though he was born with few resources and little money. After he died, it got passed down to my grandfather who taught me how to play chess when I was 9 years old. When he came to visit me for my 11th birthday, he gave me this chess set and I felt cared for. This chess set encouraged me to always try my best and persevere just like my great-grandfather had.
