Dan Marino signed Helmet
- This is a souvenir Miami Dolphins helmet autographed by Dan Marino, the greatest quarterback of all time. It belongs to my dad and it is super important to him. - My dad’s family has deep roots in Miami Beach, and he keeps this helmet (and lots of other Miami sports memorabilia) in his office to remind him (and us) of his family’s hometown.- My Grandpa Ron moved to Miami Beach with his family when he was a young child in the 1940s - many Jewish families like mine moved to Miami Beach around that time, whether they were veterans from World War II or wanted to take advantage of Miami’s growing economy in the post-war years. Grandpa Ron stayed in Miami Beach and was a big presence in the community there, as a real estate developer and businessman.- Grandpa Ron first got season tickets to the Miami Dolphins in 1970 and still has them. When my dad was growing up, he and Grandpa Ron went to every Dolphins game together - he always says it’s some of his fondest memories. And while my dad hasn’t lived in Miami Beach for over 30 years, he’s still a huge Dolphins fan, and he’s passed that fandom down to me. Now, we’re just hoping that the Dolphins don’t make us cry this year!
