Cheese Burek
My object is a dish that I eat sometimes and it’s important to me. To begin with, the dish is called Cheese Burek and my father’s mother taught him, who taught my mother who taught me how to make it. My father is from Turkey, and he came from a very large family which was common over there. My father had five brothers and five sisters and he was the youngest of them all. His parents were a seven-foot-tall man and a five-foot-tall woman, she was a sweet petite woman who would cook in a pot that could fit three people in it, to feed the whole family. Furthermore, my father was a momma’s boy so she taught him how to make his favorite treat. Lastly, when my family gets together and makes this delicious dish, we remember the people who passed it down to us, the people who once lived and shared love in this world. To conclude, this is my object and why it’s important to me. P.S. The secret ingredient is a dash of love.
