Front of Charm Bracelet

My great grandpa wanted to do everything for my great-grandma and their family, but they did not have very much money at the time. They lived in the city and worked very hard to make money. They did not have very much money for nice and expensive things, but when my grandma was little my great-grandpa bought my grandma and my great grandma very pretty and expensive charms on a necklace. They got the necklaces from The Jewelry Exchange in  New York City. These necklaces were very special to my grandma and great-grandma. After a while my great-grandma decided to take the charm off of the necklace and put it on a gold elongated chain to match the charm. The charm is made out of gold, pearls, silver and purple jewels, and more. The front of the charm has a gold rim on the outside and then a pearl rim inside of that. The center circle has an eight section circle. Each section is either gold or purple with a corresponding jewel in the middle of it. The back of the charm has my great-grandmas initials and her date of birth. It says BRK 8.25.35. It says BRK for Bertha Rothkoph Kaplan. This bracelet was passed down from my great-grandma to my grandma and then to my mom who then told me and my sisters about it as we got older. We now keep the bracelet in a remembrance of my ancestors.
