Carved Native American statue

Partner:

My object is a statue of a Native American. It is made out of wood and is carved into its shape, detail was added by paint. It was passed down from my great grandmother to my grandfather. This statue represents my Native American ancestry. In my family, my great grandmother represents my Native American heritage because she was a full blooded Native American and lived on a reservation. She didn't immigrate to the United States because her and her family was already here. I don't know much about my family's ethnic origins because my family doesn't talk about their past much. From doing this project, I learned that I would like to learn more about my ancestor's past and origins.
