The item I am sharing is my name written in mandarin. My parents gave it to me because my name: Jiang Yu Hao means grandest rivers in the universe and they felt like it was a perfect match to the name Orion.
My mom and dad’s parents both immigrated from China to Taiwan then to America in the 1960’s. The story behind my name was that my parents wanted my grandparents to pick a name that was easy to say and not a lot of strokes (written in Chinese calligraphy). They picked a couple hilarious names like Long River Water,Big Number One River, and Big Middle River. My mom’s school colleagues helped pick names that had three characters and more meaning because that's a family tradition. In cultural tradition people on my dads side should pick a name, but in our family we had my moms side do it.
My final thoughts are I like the name my parents chose because it means grandest rivers in the universe.
