This object is something that was given to me by a family member I rarely see. When my mom visited her in Ghana, that family member would give her this banjo as a gift to bring back to New York. Since I rarely see this family member due to the long distance, this is one of the only things I remember about her. It is a very cool cultural object and something I am very grateful for.
