Cadena
My object is called cadena, it is a necklace. The chain is made of gold and has a cross in the middle. It was made in Guatemala. I wear it on Sundays because it is important for my family. I keep it in my closet because my grandmother gave it to me before I came to the United States and I don’t want it to be lost. I was very close to my grandmother and it makes me think about her and the good times we had together. In Guatemala many people wear accessories that represent the church. I am happy to have this cadena because when I feel lonely I look at the chain and I know my grandmother is thinking of me.
