My artifact is a 50 year old Indian elephant statue that belongs to my grandma. The elephant is made of brass and is gold and brown in color. The elephant's back is covered with a jhul, which is a carpet like rectangular cloth. In Indian culture elephants hold sacred significance symbolizing strength, wisdom, good luck, and protection. This elephant statue is one of many in my grandmother's home.
