In 1948 my BisNonna (Italian great grandma) immigrated from Italy to America with my 9 month old Nonna (Italian grandma). During the immigration she was given a pure gold bracelet with the face of a woman shaped onto it. This pendant was a gift from her mother in law for finally making it to America after a rough 10 day journey through the seas with them getting constantly sick. This pendant represents the journey that my BisNonna took from Italy to America and it also represents one of the things that she left behind with her before her passing. This bracelet is also important to us because it has been passed down from my BisNonna to my Nonna to my Mom. In the end this bracelet has made it through my whole family into my Mom's hands.
