My grandmother has a pin that has been passed down for two generations in my family. It originally belonged to my great great grandmother, then my great grandmother, and now my grandmother has it. Instead of having the pin continue to be passed down, my grandmother decided to do something with the pin. She decided to turn the pin into three separate bracelets. One bracelet made for her, one for my mom, and one for me. My grandmother felt that if she kept it as a pin that it would continue to never be worn, so she thought that the best use of the pin was to turn it into bracelets.
