Bourbon Ball Recipe
My great-grandpa Bame was born in Germany. He moved to America when he was young and got drafted into World War 2 on the American side, but he did not want to fight against his country. So, he provided technical help for the army, which included typing documents. In his spare time, he typed out things for recordkeeping purposes, such as this recipe for his bourbon balls. I find it interesting that the first word on the whole card had to be corrected, and yet he typed over it instead of getting a new card. The material shortages of the time period led to little things like this being common, although they would be surprising today.
