Fighting for our country is an idea instilled in the minds of young men for centuries. On both sides of my family, there are ties to the service on my mom's side from the northern United States my great-grandfather was a bombardier in WWII for the US. Army. then later my grandfather attended Virginia Military Institute abs served in the army for 4  years. On my dad's side of the family from the southeast part of the United States, my great-grandfather fought in the Pacific Theater in WWII. Later my grandfather served in the Air Force for 15 years and after his retirement still works in a field with ties to the military. This shows the cultural identity and anthropological impacts in the early 20th century with having an affiliation to the military and the need for people to serve our country. This shows how generations of families from different places can come together for one cause to help protect our country.
