My grandmother often travels to Mexico since it’s where she was born. One time about 19 years ago while traveling to Mexico. She purchased this blanket for my mother who was pregnant with my sister at that time. The blanket is different shades of blue and white and has dolphins designed on it. My mother used it while pregnant and then passed it down to my older sister who used it for a few years and then passed it down to me when I was born. My grandmother has always been a big part of my life when I was young I used to live closer to her so it was easier to see her more often. When I started going to kindergarden I began to only speak English and started to forget my Spanish this made it harder to communicate with my grandmother. She only speaks Spanish but still, we called eachother often. Now I see her even less often due to school but I always feel connected to her through the blanket.
