The object I chose was an old Swedish bible we have that came over from Sweden a long time ago. The object came from my great great grandfather and we got it through our ancestors migrating from Sweden to America more specifically south dakota. This object is very important to me because it connects me to my past as well as my religious beliefs in Christianity. It also just looks super cool in my opinion and it is a very important object for everyone in my household. It's cool for me to imagine who the people that would have used it are like and I wonder what stories they have. Recently i talked to my dad about it and he told me to use it in a church and would have been the bible the pastor would have read from. To me it is so cool to think about it and all the people in 1917 that would have heard from the bible and all the people that would have known my great great grandfather. And I wonder what he was like and how he liked to preach. It would be cool to go to one of his sermons and experience what he was like. In conclusion, I think its good having to do this project because it connects us with our past and makes us think about our background and where we come from. And I'm happy because without this project I would not be able to learn this much about my history.
