This is a banya. It is a Russian bath house. This is a very important part of my family heritage, specifically my father's side of the family. The banya is a place where people gather in order to hang out with peers and to relax. When my father was young, he would spend many hours a week in the banya, and it became a tradition for him to go there every Friday. The banya is a very social place, and it helped my father make long-lasting friends. Now, this tradition has been passed on to me and my brother, and the three of go to the banya most Fridays. It is an important part of our lives because it allows us to bond.
