My grandparents' cabin has been around for 12 years now. Located near Grand Rapids and about 70 yards from the body of water appropriately named for its odd shape, Bad Axe lake. The land under the cabin has been my family's for many more years. It used to be just a small bunk-house and the dock at the bottom of a long steep hill. The cabin for me is very nostalgic. I remember when it was just the bunk-house, I remember the cabin being built, and I remember it being finished. For my grandparents it is like a second home. For the rest of us it is a place to get away from the city and have fun. No city lights or noise or TV to distract you like normal life.
