How important are photo albums to people? Very important, or just an object that families don't really care about? In my case, my baby photo albums are one of the most important objects that we possess. This is the album that shows the moment I just started crawling, to when I finally was able to walk on both feet without my mom's or dad's help. So what does this have anything to do with immigration? Well, when at the age of 7 I found out that we are moving to the United States of America, I obviously wanted to take all of my toys with me, instead we only ended up taking our clothes and my baby albums as well as just a few dolls...I did not understand why at first, but now I do, we took these albums because we can never turn back time, If the albums are left, and if they just simply “disappear” then all of our memories will just simply be gone with them. These albums built up part of my identity, as well as my mom's, dad's, and grandma's.
