There are a set of plates that belonged to my great grandmother. I don't have a picture of them due to the fact that they are kept at my grandparent's house. But we keep the plates in a fancy glass cabinet that we aren't allowed to touch. When i was younger, i wondered why we weren't allowed to eat off the plates. I asked my grandmother why once and the only answer i got was "Because i said so." We aren't sure where exactly my grandmother got these plates from. But my grandmother said that even back then, she wouldn't let anyone touch them. I guess the apple doesn't fall from the tree after all. But one day, those plates will probably be passed down to me. When they are, I finally plan on eating off them.
