A ring from Bretagne
Have you ever been given something and just forgot about it, left it in a box in the closet just to find it months later, and absolutely fell in love with it? Because I have. Back when I lived in Britanny, France, I was given this ring with a sort of wave thing in the middle, that wave is called a Triskele, it is a sign we use in Britanny to represent our culture. Britanny is one of the six Celtic nations, and the Triskele being a Celtic sign, we took it in as the symbol of Britanny, we are proud of this symbol. But see, when I was given this ring, I knew the sign but had no emotional connection to it. Years later, after I moved to the US, I found it again and immediately connected to it, it was a way for me to connect with m country and my home from a long distance. The ring didn't fit my fingers anymore, I had grown, so I just found a chain and I wear the ring around my neck every single day as a reminder of who I am and where I came from, and that I am proud to be a Breton.
