These are a pair of birds that my family brought over from India. The two birds are meant to represent two people in love. It was a beautiful piece that my parents had received as a gift from a good friend. They brought the statue over as a way to show that they would be together through the thick of it. A few years back, we contemplated getting rid of it, but it was decided that it would be better if we kept it. It was with us the whole time and it would remain as a new heirloom, a memento of the past. And I'm glad we did.
