A necklace
This necklace belonged to my great-great grandma, Ana Conte. She bought the necklace in Italy which is where she lived. This was one of the more expensive things she owned. She then passed it down to my great-grandma Constance. When she gave her the necklace she was told that she was only allowed to wear it on special occasions such as Christmas, Easter, Church, etc. because the necklace was very thin and it could break very easily. Then a couple of years later my great-great-grandma decided to move to Brazil. About five years later my great-great-grandma passed away. When my great-grandma had my grandma Dulce she gave it to her on her first communion when she was seven years old. She was told to only wear it on special occasions because it could break very easily. My great-grandma said that she will put the necklace away for her so she wouldn’t lose it. Then when my grandma was 15, my great-grandma died. Many years later my grandma had my dad and she said she wasn’t going to give the necklace to him, so she said when he has kids and if one of them is a girl she’ll get it. Then when my dad was two, my grandma and my dad moved to the United States. When I was eleven years old my grandma gave me the necklace.
