Growing up in Mali Bamako was not the easiest place to be brought up. People had to pave their own paths and create their own success. And that's what my grandmother did. My grandmother had to make difficult decisions, such as leaving my mom when she was only two weeks old in order to make a life for herself and her 4 children. The day my grandma gave me my bracelets, I was admiring them on her arm and she took them off and gave it to me, which was very special.
